Linktotem

Linktotem vs Later

Later's Link in Bio is a free add-on to a social scheduling suite, built for creators who mirror their Instagram grid. You can't buy it on its own: removing the Later banner means the $25-a-month Starter plan. Linktotem publishes for free with a small badge instead of a banner, removes it for €5 a month and does far more on the page, but it doesn't schedule posts.

Choose Later if…

  • you already schedule posts in Later, or you're about to;
  • your page is a shoppable Instagram grid and that's genuinely all you need;
  • the free plan with a Later banner is good enough for now.

Choose Linktotem if…

  • you want a link page without paying for a scheduling suite to get it;
  • your page has to show hours, a menu, a map or take bookings — Later has none of those;
  • you want your own domain and a dashboard in Portuguese.

What each one really costs

Later's free plan publishes a link-in-bio page with a Later banner across it. To remove the banner you buy Later Social: $25 a month for Starter, $50 for Growth, $110 for Scale, with taxes on top and with seats and social sets metered — extra social sets are $15 a month each, extra users $5.

That $25 is the honest number to compare, but only with the context: it buys a full scheduling suite, of which the link page is a small part. Nobody pays $25 a month for the page alone, and we're not going to present it as though they did.

On Linktotem the page is free, or €5 a month without the badge, and nothing else. If you want scheduling, Later does something we don't do at all.

Where Later is better

It schedules social posts across platforms, analyses them and manages a content calendar for a team. We do none of that, and for a social media manager that's the whole job.

Its free link-in-bio plan publishes, and it links your Instagram grid to the posts' destinations automatically — a genuinely nice trick for creators.

For an agency already living inside Later, having the page in the same tool is worth more than saving €20 a month.

Moving from Later

Most people moving from Later keep Later for scheduling and just take the page out of it.

  1. Decide whether you're leaving Later entirely or only moving the page.
  2. Rebuild the page here from a template — buttons, social links and your featured posts.
  3. Add what the Later page couldn't hold: hours, a map, a menu, a booking button, forms.
  4. Change the link in your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profiles.
  5. If you're staying on Later for scheduling, keep posting there and just point the bio elsewhere.

Questions

Is Later's Link in Bio free?

Yes, on the free plan documented in its help centre — with a Later-branded banner on the page. The pricing page doesn't show that plan, which is why people think it doesn't exist.

Can I buy Later's Link in Bio on its own?

No. It comes inside Later Social, so the cheapest way to have it unbranded is the $25-a-month Starter plan.

Can I use my own domain with Later?

Later documents no custom-domain option for Link in Bio; the address is linkin.bio/yourname. Some review sites claim otherwise, but Later's own help centre doesn't.

Does Later work for a restaurant or a salon?

Not really. Its blocks are a profile, social links, buttons and Instagram posts — no hours, no map, no menu. It's built for creators mirroring a grid.

Is Later available in Portuguese?

No. Its desktop app is in English, Spanish, French and German, and the mobile apps are English only.
