A wedding page your guests open from the invitation

The invitation can only hold so much. Everything else, from when the shuttle leaves to whether the kids are invited, turns into fifty messages to the couple. This template puts it on one page guests open from a QR code on the invitation, with the RSVP right under the welcome and the replies landing in one list.

This is the real page, with example content you replace in a few minutes.

What's on the page, and why

  1. 1

    Countdown

The first thing guests see is the time left until the ceremony. It makes people smile and quietly reminds them the date is real. When it reaches zero it switches to a message you write in advance, so the page still says something nice the morning after.

  2. 2

    Welcome note

Two short paragraphs in your own voice: you're glad they're coming, what's on the page, and one practical nudge. The love story belongs in the speeches.

  3. 3

    RSVP form

Name, yes or no, how many are coming, allergies and a song for the playlist. It opens in a window over the page, so it never feels like paperwork. Replies go to your dashboard and your email: one list for the caterer instead of a spreadsheet rebuilt from WhatsApp. The newsletter sign-up is switched off.

  4. 4

    The day, hour by hour

A timeline with the ceremony, drinks, dinner, the party and the last shuttle, each with a time and one line of what to expect. The last shuttle is the one people need at 1am, which is why it's here and not only on the invitation.

  5. 5

    How to get there

A map that opens in Google Maps or Apple Maps, and a note for what a map can't say: where to park, when the shuttle leaves, and that the ceremony is on grass. That last line saves more heels than any dress code.

  6. 6

Where to stay and the gift list

Two links with pictures: places nearby, with any rate you've arranged, and the gift list or honeymoon fund. Put the gifts below the practical things, with a line saying their presence is enough. It reads as gracious, not as an invoice.

  7. 7

    FAQ, photos and WhatsApp

Five answers to the questions that always arrive: dress code, children, plus-ones, transport and gifts. Then a button to the shared photo album, and a WhatsApp button with the first line already written. Point it at the best man or your planner if you'd rather not answer it yourselves that week.

The order that gets replies in on time

The countdown and the welcome set the tone, then the RSVP comes straight away, because it's the one thing you need from every guest. The timings and the map follow, for the people who have said yes. Hotels and gifts come after the practical things, the FAQ catches the rest, and WhatsApp stays at the bottom as the last resort.

QR codes on the invitation, registries, Pix and bank transfers

Print the page's QR code on the invitation or on a card in the envelope with the free QR code generator, and test it from two phones before the print run. It points at the page, not a file, so if the shuttle time changes after posting, every guest still sees the right one. Set the RSVP deadline three to four weeks before the day, when caterers usually want final numbers, and write it on the invitation. The gift link goes wherever your list lives: a store or registry site in the US and UK; a lista de casamento at a shop, or an IBAN or MB Way, in Portugal; a lista de presentes site, and Pix for cash gifts, in Brazil. To take contributions on the page itself, a payment block charges through your own Stripe account.

What to write at the top

Your two names as the page name and a short line under it, like "are getting married". Leave the date to the countdown, so there's only one place to change if it moves.

The bio should say what the page is for: everything about the day, and a request to reply to the RSVP. Guests skim, so the one instruction they read should be the one you need.

For wedding planners

Build one page per couple from this template and edit the timings as suppliers confirm. Point the WhatsApp button at yourself, and questions about parking stop reaching the couple the week they're busiest.

The RSVP replies arrive in one place with dietary needs already written down, which is the list the caterer will ask for. Check them weekly and chase the missing households by name.

What to avoid, and privacy

Be honest about privacy: the page is public to anyone who has the link. Don't put it in a public Instagram bio; share it only through the invitation and the QR code. If that isn't enough, put a password in front of the page and print it on the invitation.

Leave off anything you wouldn't put on a postcard: your home address, the children's full names, where the gifts will be kept. Guests need the venue and the timings, and that's all the page has to carry.

FAQ

Questions

Where do the RSVP replies go?

To your dashboard and your email, with the number of guests, allergies and song request.

Can I change details after the invitations are printed?

Yes. The QR code opens the page, not a file, so a new shuttle time shows up for every guest as soon as you save.

Is the page private?

It's public to anyone with the link, like any web page. Share it only through the invitation, keep it off your public profiles, and add a password if you want another layer.

What happens when the countdown ends?

It shows the message you wrote for that moment, such as a thank you. Afterwards you can swap the RSVP for the photo album and keep the page as a souvenir.

Can guests pay for gifts on the page?

The template links to your gift list. For contributions on the page itself, add a payment block, which charges through your own Stripe account.
