What we use

Linktotem sets first-party cookies that make a feature you asked for work. Analytics and advertising measurement cookies (Google Analytics) are set only if you accept them in the banner on our pages.

If you have an account: session (keeps you signed in; 30 days, renewed while you use it), NEXT_LOCALE (your language; 1 year), lb_mode (light or dark dashboard; 1 year), lb_profile (the page you are editing; 1 year), lb_portal (access to a client portal someone shared with you; 30 days).

While you sign up or connect a service, for a few minutes only: claim_username (the username you picked on the home page; 15 minutes), google_oauth_state, google_oauth_verifier and google_oauth_next (Google sign-in; 10 minutes), lb_ig_state, lb_mc_state and lb_shop_state (connecting Instagram, Mailchimp or Stripe; 10 to 15 minutes).

On this website: lb_ref (the referral link you arrived through, so its longer trial applies when you sign up; 30 days) and lb_template (the template you chose to start from; 24 hours). When you sign up from a free tool, template, comparison or article, the sign-up link says which one (?src=), and we store it with your new account; nothing is kept in your browser.

Analytics and ad measurement

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand how people find and use linktotem.com and the dashboard, and to measure whether our Google Ads campaigns lead to sign-ups and subscriptions. Cookies: _ga and _ga_* (distinguish browsers; 2 years) and, if you arrived from a Google ad, _gcl_au (links the visit to the ad; 90 days).

Until you accept, none of these cookies are set: Google receives only cookieless signals (Consent Mode) without identifiers. Your answer is kept in your browser's storage (lt-consent), and after an action such as signing up we keep a short-lived cookie (lt_ev; 10 minutes) so the next page can report it. You can change your answer at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

On pages made with Linktotem

A page sets a cookie only when you unlock protected content (lbg, which remembers that you entered the password or passed the gate, until you close the browser). The page also remembers a few choices in your browser's storage: light or dark mode, announcements you closed, your answer to the tracking banner and, for pages testing two versions of a link, which version you see.

If the page's owner turned on Google Analytics or Meta Pixel, they are loaded only after you accept in the banner on that page, and then set their own cookies. You can change your answer at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of the page.

Videos, music and calendars the owner embeds load from their provider only when you press them, and may then set the provider's own cookies according to its policies. YouTube videos use youtube-nocookie.com.

Other services

Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout for fraud prevention; see Stripe's cookie policy. Page views are also counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in; blocking the others only turns off what they are for.
