How the price is estimated
There is no public price list for sponsored posts, but the industry works with a rule of thumb: a price per thousand followers, roughly $10 for an Instagram post, a little more for a Reel, much less for a story frame, and $9 or so for a TikTok video. This calculator starts there and makes every adjustment visible.
Engagement moves it: an account whose followers react more than usual for its size is worth more to a brand, so the price goes up about 30%, or down about 25% when engagement is low. The niche moves it: finance and tech advertisers pay the most per person reached, humour and gaming the least. And the market moves it: brands in Portugal and Brazil spend less per post than in the US, even after converting currencies.
Why the result is a range
Two creators with the same numbers can charge very different prices. Content quality, how well the audience matches the brand, past results and how much the brand needs you all count. The range shows where most deals land; the suggested price is the middle. Start there, and move up as brands come back for more.
What's never in the base price: usage rights (the brand running your video as an ad), exclusivity (not working with competitors for a period), rushed deadlines and extra revisions. Each is usually charged on top, often 20 to 50% more.
What a rate card is for
When a brand asks for your rates, a clear one-page answer looks professional and saves a round of messages. Keep it simple: your handle, your audience, a price per format and a line saying rights and exclusivity are quoted separately. Pair it with a media kit that shows who your audience is and what you've done before.
Small accounts can earn too
Brands increasingly prefer several small creators with loyal audiences over one big account. Under a few thousand followers most deals pay in products, but local businesses, affiliate links and your own products or services can pay from day one. What matters is a clear niche and a link in your bio that turns attention into sales.
Private by design
The calculation runs in your browser with the numbers you type. Nothing is fetched from Instagram or TikTok and nothing is sent to us.
