How to use it

  1. 1

    Choose the key type

CPF or CNPJ, phone, email or random key — the one registered in your bank app. The tool guesses it as you type.

  2. 2

    Add your name and city

They go into the code and the payer sees the name before confirming, so use the name on the account.

  3. 3

    Set an amount, or don't

With an amount, the payer only confirms. Without one, they type it — handy for a counter or tips.

  4. 4

    Download, copy or print

Save the QR code as PNG or SVG, copy the Pix Copia e Cola text for messages, or print the A6 poster for your counter.

What a Pix QR code is

Pix is Brazil's instant payment system, run by the central bank. Every bank and payment app in the country supports it, payments arrive in seconds at any hour, and sending money is free for individuals. A Pix QR code — the BR Code — packs everything the payer's bank needs into one image: your key, your name, your city and, if you want, the amount.

The same content also exists as text, called Pix Copia e Cola. Someone who can't scan the code — because they're reading your message on the phone they would scan with — copies the text and pastes it in the “Pix Copia e Cola” option of their bank app. This tool gives you both from the same details.

Static or dynamic: which one this is

This generator makes a static code. It never expires, it can be paid any number of times, and it carries a fixed amount or none at all. That is what a shop counter, a market stall, a delivery driver, a freelancer's invoice or a donation page needs.

Dynamic codes are made by a bank or payment provider for a single charge: they point to a link on the provider's server, can expire and confirm the payment automatically to a system. If you need automatic reconciliation for an online shop, that comes from your bank or payment provider. For everything else, a static code is simpler and free.

Which key to use

Any key registered in your account works: CPF or CNPJ, phone number, email or a random key. Individuals can register up to five keys per account and companies up to twenty. For a code you print or post publicly, the random key is the private choice: it doesn't reveal your CPF, phone or email to everyone who scans it.

The name and the city are part of the code, limited to 25 and 15 characters by the standard. Accents come off — “São Paulo” is written “Sao Paulo” — because bank apps expect plain letters; the payer still sees the name registered at your bank before confirming.

Printing and sharing it

The poster fits an A6 sheet (a quarter of A4) for a counter, a table stand or a stall. Keep the code at least 3 × 3 cm, print it dark on a light background and don't laminate it with a glossy finish that reflects the light. PNG is ready for messages and social media; SVG stays sharp at any size for a designer or a printer.

Before printing a batch, test the code: pay yourself a small amount from another bank and check the name and the amount. Then look at your printed codes now and then — a sticker with someone else's code over yours is a known scam, and the name the payer sees is the only thing that gives it away.

Private by design

The code is made in your browser with the standard published by the central bank. Your key, your name and the amount are not sent to us, and no payment ever passes through Linktotem: the money goes straight from the payer's bank to yours. To know that someone paid, check your bank app — a QR code is not a receipt.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this Pix QR code generator free?

Yes. No sign-up, no fee per code and no limit. The codes are yours and keep working as long as your key is registered.

Does the QR code work with every bank?

Yes. It follows the central bank's BR Code standard, which every bank and payment app in Brazil reads: Nubank, Itaú, Bradesco, Banco do Brasil, Caixa, Inter, Mercado Pago, PicPay and the rest.

Can I set a fixed amount?

Yes. Type it in the amount field and the payer only confirms. Leave it empty and the payer types the amount — better for a counter where every sale is different.

Does the code expire?

No. A static code keeps working until you remove the key from your bank account. If you change banks or keys, make a new code.

What is Pix Copia e Cola?

The same payment as text. Send it by WhatsApp or email; the payer copies it and pastes it in the “Pix Copia e Cola” option of their bank app.

Will I know when someone pays?

Your bank tells you, as with any Pix. This tool only makes the code: it never sees the payment, and it can't confirm one.

Can I use it without a Brazilian bank account?

No. The key has to be registered at a bank or payment institution in Brazil; that's where the money arrives.
