Terms of Service

1. The service

Linktotem lets you create public pages that group links and content (a "page") at an address under our domain or on a domain you connect. These terms are a contract between you and the operator identified above, and they apply whenever you create an account or use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use Linktotem.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account, including what members you invite to your team do. Tell us immediately at the contact address above if you believe someone else is using it.

One person or organisation per account. Usernames are allocated on a first-come basis; we may reclaim usernames that impersonate others, infringe trademarks or stay unused on unpublished pages for a long time. When you change a username, the old one keeps redirecting to your page for 90 days and cannot be taken by anyone else during that time.

3. Plans, trials and payment

Building and publishing a page is free on the Free plan. Pages on the Free plan show the Made with Linktotem badge in the footer and have the limits described on the pricing page; we may change those limits with at least 30 days' notice by email. The paid plans (Starter and Pro) add features. Your first paid subscription starts with a free trial of 14 days (30 days when you arrive through a referral link); the trial is offered once per account. At the end of the trial your payment method is charged for the plan you chose, monthly or yearly, and then at the start of each period until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time in Settings › Billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. After that your account moves to the Free plan: your pages stay published, except those beyond the Free plan's number of pages, which go offline, and the paid plan's features stop applying. Nothing is deleted. Apart from the right of withdrawal below, we do not refund partial periods except where the law requires it.

If a payment fails we keep your plan active for 10 days while we retry. After that your account moves to the Free plan until payment succeeds. Nothing is deleted.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before you subscribe, with VAT where it applies in your country. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the change applies from your next renewal and you can cancel before it does.

To protect the people who visit pages, a page published for the first time on the Free plan may be kept out of search engines for up to 7 days, we limit how many times an account and a network can publish, and we do not accept temporary email addresses at sign-up.

4. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union you may withdraw from a subscription within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason. During a free trial this simply means cancelling before it ends: you are not charged.

If you subscribe without a trial, by subscribing you ask us to start the service straight away. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, we refund what you paid minus the part that corresponds to the days you already used.

To withdraw, cancel in Settings › Billing or send us a clear statement to the contact address above, for example by email. We refund within 14 days of receiving it, to the payment method you used.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to what you put on your pages. You give us a licence to host, display and distribute it as needed to run the service, including caching and generating previews such as share images, screenshots and QR codes.

You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to use it. Do not publish anything illegal, misleading, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes others' rights. Text or images you create with the AI assistants are yours to use, but check them before you publish: they can be wrong.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Linktotem for phishing, scams, malware, spam, impersonation, selling counterfeit or illegal goods, or content that is illegal where you or your visitors are.

We check links against safety services and may hide a link, hide a page or suspend an account that breaks these rules, usually with notice, immediately when there is risk to visitors. We always tell you why, and you can appeal by writing to us.

7. Selling and collecting data on your page

If you sell through your page, the sale is between you and your buyer: payments go through your own Stripe account, we take no commission, and you are responsible for delivering, for refunds, for invoices and taxes, and for the consumer information the law requires you to give.

When your page collects personal data from visitors (forms, newsletter sign-ups, email gates, orders), you decide what is collected and why, so you are the controller of that data and must tell your visitors how you use it. We process it only on your instructions, to provide the service, under the data processing terms in our Privacy Policy.

8. Integrations and connected services

Some features connect to services you choose, such as Instagram, Mailchimp, Stripe, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or your own domain. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and a feature may stop working if the provider changes or withdraws its service.

Our affiliate and referral programmes have their own terms, which you accept when you join them.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Linktotem available at all times but cannot guarantee it. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service entirely we will give at least 60 days' notice and let you export your content.

10. Liability

Linktotem is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or data, or damages caused by third parties. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or the rights consumers have under the law of their country.

11. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Account; this also cancels your subscription. We can terminate accounts that break these terms. After deletion your pages go offline immediately; for 30 days signing in brings everything back, and after that your data is erased, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

12. Complaints and disputes

If something is wrong, write to us first at the contact address above; we normally answer within 5 working days.

You can also file a complaint in the Portuguese electronic complaints book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) at livroreclamacoes.pt.

If you are a consumer, you may take a dispute to an alternative dispute resolution entity. The one with nationwide competence in Portugal is CNIACC – Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (www.arbitragemdeconsumo.org). More information at www.consumidor.gov.pt.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in the courts where you live. Otherwise disputes go to the competent courts in Portugal.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email or in the dashboard at least 15 days before material changes take effect, and you can cancel before they do. Continuing to use Linktotem after that means you accept the new terms.
