Link in bio for restaurants

Guests who find you on Instagram want the menu, the hours and a way to book. This template puts all three on one page for restaurants, cafés and bars, with the booking button first.

  • Book on WhatsApp
  • Menu with prices
  • Open now status
  • Map & directions

This is the real page, with example content you replace in a few minutes.

What's on the page, and why

  1. 1

    Book a table

The first button opens WhatsApp with "Hi! I'd like to book a table for" already typed. The guest adds how many people and what time, and you answer from the phone you already use. There's no booking system to set up on day one.

  2. 2

    Menu with prices

The menu is a real list, not a photo of the printed one. Starters, mains and desserts fold open as sections, each dish has a short description and a price, and a "popular" badge marks the plate you want people to try. It reads well on a small screen and a price changes in seconds.

  3. 3

    Delivery

One button for delivery, pointed at the app where you take orders. Guests who can't come tonight still order from you, not from the place next door.

  4. 4

    Opening hours

The hours block shows the whole week and says open or closed right now, based on your time zone. It answers the most common DM before anyone sends it. The day you close stays visible, so nobody turns up on a Monday.

  5. 5

    Map

A map image with your address that opens Google Maps or Apple Maps, plus a button to copy the address. A short note such as "two minutes from the metro" helps first-time visitors.

  6. 6

    Good to know (FAQ)

Groups, vegetarian options and whether to book. Answer them once here and the phone rings less during service.

  7. 7

    Social icons

Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp close the page. People who got this far and liked what they saw can follow you for the daily specials.

The order that fills tables

Booking comes first because most visits happen shortly before a meal, while people decide where to go. The menu follows, since it's what convinces them. Hours and the map come after, for those who have already decided.

Works alongside TheFork, Uber Eats, iFood and the rest

If you take reservations on TheFork, OpenTable or through Google, point the booking button at that page instead of WhatsApp. The delivery button can go to Uber Eats, Glovo, Bolt Food or iFood; add one button per app if you use several. Keep the hours on your Google Business Profile and on this page identical, so guests never get two answers.

What to put in a restaurant's Instagram bio

Say the kind of food, the neighbourhood and when you open: "Seasonal kitchen & wine bar in Chiado. Tue–Sun, lunch and dinner." Those are the words people type into Instagram search, and they answer the first questions.

Then add the link to your page and, if your account type offers them, the contact and address buttons. Pin a post of the dining room or the terrace so new visitors see the place before they scroll.

Put a QR code on the table and the door

The same page works indoors. Print its QR code on the table card, the menu stand or the window, so guests open the menu on their phone and check the desserts without waving for a waiter.

Because it's one page, you change the menu once and it's changed on Instagram, on the tables and on Google. Clicks per link show whether people come for the menu, the delivery app or the booking button.

Common mistakes

Posting the menu as a PDF or a photo. It's slow to open, hard to read on a phone, and search engines can't read the dishes. A text menu fixes all three.

Forgetting to change the hours on public holidays, or leaving a delivery button that points at an app you stopped using. Look over your page once a week, the same way you check the stock.

FAQ

Questions

How do I put my menu on Instagram?

Add the menu to your link in bio page and put that link in your profile. Guests tap it and see every dish and price. Share the same link in stories with the link sticker.

Can people book a table on WhatsApp?

Yes. The WhatsApp button opens a chat with a message already written. If you prefer a reservation tool, point the button at it instead.

Can the page show that we're open right now?

The opening hours block uses your time zone and shows open or closed at any moment. Leave a day empty and it shows as closed.

Can I have a lunch menu and a dinner menu?

Yes. Use a section for each, or add two menu blocks with their own titles. Sections fold, so a long menu stays short on screen.

How do I make a QR code for the menu?

Every page has its own QR code. Download it and print it on table cards or the window. It always opens the latest version of your menu.

Can I use my restaurant's own domain?

Yes, you can connect a custom domain such as menu.yourrestaurant.com, which looks tidier on printed material.
