What's on the page, and why

  1. 1

    Book online

A booking button at the top opens your scheduling page, such as Cal.com or Calendly, so clients choose a time themselves. Appointments keep coming in while your hands are busy and the phone goes unanswered.

  2. 2

    Questions on WhatsApp

Just below, "Questions? Message us" opens WhatsApp. Some clients want to send a photo of the colour they have in mind before booking. Give them that path and they book the right service.

  3. 3

    Services & prices

Hair in one section, nails and beauty in another, each service with a short description. Treatments that depend on length or time show a "from" price, which keeps expectations honest without listing every variation. Clients know the cost before they sit down, which makes the consultation easier.

  4. 4

    Opening hours

Your week, late evenings and short Saturdays included, with a live open or closed label. A client checking at seven in the evening knows at once whether you'll still pick up.

  5. 5

    Map

Your address on a map that opens directions in Google Maps or Apple Maps. First-time clients arrive on time instead of calling from the street. Add a note about parking or the entrance if it's easy to miss.

  6. 6

    Gift cards

A link to buy gift cards. They sell well before holidays and bring in new clients who might not have booked on their own. Before Christmas or Mother's Day, move it higher for a few weeks.

  7. 7

    Social icons

Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp. Your transformations and short videos live on the first two; the icons send people there to see more of your work.

The order that fills the diary

Booking goes first because clients arrive from a photo of your work and are already convinced. Questions come next, for those who aren't. Then prices, then the practical details. Gift cards sit near the end, where they catch people shopping for a present.

Booksy, Fresha, Treatwell or your own calendar

If you already take appointments on Booksy, Fresha or Treatwell, point the booking button at your profile there. You keep the system your team knows, and the link in bio becomes the front door to it. Not using any? Cal.com, Calendly or Google's appointment schedule do the job. Keep prices identical here and in the booking app. Most booking tools also send reminders, which helps with no-shows.

What to write in a salon's Instagram bio

Say what you do and where: "Hair, nails and brows in Porto. Tue–Sat." Add a speciality if you have one, like curly hair or blonding, because clients search for exactly that. Say whether you're a barbershop, a nail studio or a full salon; it changes who follows you.

Keep one link and tell people what it does: "Book below". Group your best work in highlights by service, with covers in your colours, so a client can find balayage or nail art without scrolling the whole grid.

Turning posts into appointments

End each before-and-after post with the service name and "book via the link in bio". A client who loves a result wants to know what it's called and how to get it.

Print the page's QR code for the mirror or the front desk. Regulars book their next visit before they leave, and the friend who came along can scan it too. Clicks per link then show how many visits ended in a tap on the booking button.

Mistakes salons make

No prices anywhere. Some clients won't message to ask and quietly book somewhere else. "From" prices solve this without tying you to a single number.

Taking bookings only through DMs. Messages arrive at midnight, get buried and go unanswered. Let the booking tool hold the slot and keep WhatsApp for questions.

FAQ

Questions

How do I let clients book from Instagram?

Put a booking button on your page that opens your scheduling tool, then add the page link to your bio. Share it in stories with the link sticker as well.

Can I use my Booksy or Fresha link?

Yes. The booking button can open any booking page, so clients see your real availability.

Should a salon show its prices?

It helps. Use "from" prices for services that depend on hair length or time, and fixed prices for everything else.

Can clients message me on WhatsApp?

Yes. The WhatsApp button opens a chat with the first line already written. Our WhatsApp link generator makes the same kind of link for stories or business cards.

Can I sell gift cards?

Link to wherever you sell them now, or add a gift card as a product with Stripe checkout.

Does this template work for a barbershop?

Yes. Rename the sections to cuts, beard and packages, pick a darker style, and every block stays in place. The booking and WhatsApp buttons work exactly the same way.
